Wassail

Meal: 
Soups, stews

(Yields: About 2 gallons)

Ingredients: 
  • 2 gallons apple cider
  • 1 Tbs. vanilla extract
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 oranges, halved and squeezed
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 lime
  • 8 whole cloves
  • 6 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 Tbs. whole allspice
Directions: 

Bring all ingredients to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes. Strain immediately and serve warm.
