Exercise your mind and body with NIWB-NERR’s Paddle North Inlet tour
Join the North Inlet Winyah Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve (NIWB-NERR) for Paddle North Inlet this summer. In conjunction with Surf the Earth, these naturalist-guided tours through the North Inlet estuary are the perfect way to spend a summer day on the water.
The event price includes all equipment, a natural history overview, as well as educational and research highlights of the North Inlet estuary. Although there are no guarantees, you’ll have the opportunity to see sea turtles, sturgeons, wood storks, and least terns, among other interesting wildlife. NIWB-NERR recommends wearing sturdy shoes and bringing your own water and snack to keep you hydrated and energetic throughout the tour.
Throughout August and September, NIWB-NERR will be offering four different opportunities to experience this event. Weather permitting, you can enjoy this day on the water on August 9 and 23, as well as September 6 and 20.
Registration is required and spots fill up fast! With only 10 spots available, this is an opportunity you won’t want to miss. To register and read more information about NIWB-NERR and their mission, be sure to visit northinlet.sc.edu.
