Listen to professional storytellers weave tales of Lowcountry haunts through the shadowy streets of downtown Conway as Conway Downtown Alive presents the Conway Ghost Walk.
The walk travels through the historic downtown to the Riverwalk while storytellers share tales that are always spooky, sometimes humorous, and guaranteed to become part of your family's Halloween tradition.
Conway Downtown Alive Director Hillary Howard says, “combining the beauty of our Historic District with its haunting tales, this event is a favorite with residents and visitors alike. As it has for the past 12 years, the Conway Ghost Walk will feature new stories and a few guest favorites all focused around the history and odd happenings of our Rivertown.”
The box office opens at 5:30 p.m. each evening. Stories begin each evening at 6 p,m. and attendees must be in line for the tour line by 8 p.m.
The storytelling tour has six stops and the route is approximately one mile. The tour travels through the Downtown Historic District and participants should expect variations in the walking surface to include sidewalks, grass, slight inclines or hills and roadways. Participants are welcome to bring a flashlight to use when traveling from location to location.
