Pawleys Island Festival of Music & Art promotes music, the arts
October in Pawleys Island brings about many amazing events, perhaps chief among them being the Pawleys Island Festival of Music & Art, held at The Reserve Golf Club. This event features three weeks of culturally enriching entertainment and musical performances, including a Wine & Food Gala kickoff Thursday, Oct. 3, that serves as the event’s primary fundraiser.
According to Festival Director Susan Bryant: “This year is shaping up to be a great year for live music. We have sold out of two performances already, and only have a few tickets left for the Pawleys Island Wine & Food Gala.”
The Gala is considered one of the area’s preeminent affairs and nonprofit PIFMA’s main fundraiser, with proceeds providing diverse music, arts and educational events and programs for the community and schools, creating cultural experiences that educate, entertain and inspire.
“We have 10 chefs this year, and the menus are amazing,” she says.
“Typically, we present over 70 boutique wines to our guests at the Wine & Food Gala. This year is no exception, with some new vintners presenting their wines. The reverse raffle is always a hit, with someone leaving the event $5,000 richer!”
