Post-Impressionism meets projection technology in Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience, an unforgettable traveling exhibit currently on display at Broadway at the Beach.

Visitors will see more than 300 paintings by the tormented Dutch painter stunningly rendered into three-dimensional, fully immersive scenes that mesmerize with swirling color and movement on all surrounding surfaces. Art aficionados will delight in Vincent’s revealing self portraits, in addition to other renowned classics, such as “The Starry Night,” “Sunflowers” and “Café Terrace at Night.”

Even if you’re not very familiar with Van Gogh’s works, this exhibit is a great gateway to his world and you’ll feel like you’ve stepped into one of the artist’s paintings, evoking a dreamlike and ethereal state-of-mind.

“Seeing everything on this scale provides a unique perspective on how Van Gogh represented the power of nature and color in his paintings, and how he used art for healing,”said Fanny Curtat, art history consultant for the exhibit.

The cutting-edge projection technology is accompanied by a curated musical soundtrack, telling the story of one of history’s most enduring and influential artists.

Produced by Paquin Entertainment Group, Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience exhibition has sold more than 5 million tickets in its travels across North and South America.

The exhibition began in late June and will remain in Myrtle Beach through September 22. It’s located across from Crocodile Rocks on The Avenue.
