The Quad offers food trucks, craft beer, and family fun
Rising up from the pine forests of Pawleys Island is The Quad, the newest dining and entertainment venue from the owners of Quigley’s Pint & Plate, Quigley’s 707 Pint & Plate, and BisQit.
The Quad, a nod to the owners’ insertion of “Q” in their restaurant names, as well as the meaning of an outdoor quad gathering space on a college campus, opened in December 2024. The massive modern farmhouse-designed building is a little over 6,000 square feet, with 2,500 square feet of covered porch, and features an open floor plan with a blend of industrial and barn elements, like shiplap walls.
Owner Josh Quigley says the building, which has evolved over the last 28 years that he has lived in Pawleys, was completely gutted and remodeled from floor to ceiling.
“It’s been a number of things,” he says. “It was a plant nursery, a church, and an IT office.”
Today, The Quad serves as an indoor/outdoor, family-friendly gathering spot, complete with a full bar with a dozen local craft beers on tap (plus cans), 20 TVs, an arcade and game room, lawn games, second floor special event spaces (think weddings), and a rotating lineup of food trucks parked on the gravel parking lot in the back, including Kurbside Katering, Gnosh Pit, Surfside Dawgs, Project Smashburger, and more dishing out everything from burgers and barbecue to fried munchies to tacos and everything in between for all palates.
“It’s been a nice setup—especially for young families that would normally go out to get something to eat and have something to do in a traditional restaurant, where you sit down, you eat and then you leave,” says Quigley. “Here, a lot of young families come and there is space outdoors for the kids to play, there’s a game room, you don’t have to eat in an hour and leave, there is plenty of sports on the TVs, and you can just hang out for the afternoon.”
With warmer weather upon us in the spring and summer months, The Quad will blossom into a prime family hangout, indoors and out. Quigley says he hopes to host a farmer’s market, too, as we roll into the summer and fall.
