Eight ways to celebrate the Fourth of July along the Grand Strand

1. Broadway at the Beach Fourth of July Fireworks
It’s red, white and BOOM as Broadway celebrates the Fourth of July. Come early to enjoy the summer night’s activities before the display as well as stunts by Bryan Dangerous and songs by Shelley Sasser. Also, don’t miss the cupcake eating contest sponsored by Croissants that afternoon.

2. Fourth Annual Independence Day Race
Start your Fourth off with a bang … at the starting line, that is. Compete in the Independence Day 8k to celebrate your fitness. The race location is The Market Common and a 1 mile, 5k and 8k races are offered. Register online.

3. Surfside Beach Fourth of July Celebration
Bring the whole family to the Surfside Beach Pier for their annual get together on the Fourth. Enjoy fireworks and more.

4. Independence Saturday Cookout
Bring a lawn chair and grab a glass of wine at the La Belle Amie Vineyard Independence Saturday Cookout. Live music will be played and food will be served from the grill.

5. Murrells Inlet Boat Parade
This year marks the 33rd year of the hugely popular parade and will be sure to get your family in the American spirit. Head down to the MarshWalk and grab a spot to watch the decorated boats float by celebrating the Fourth of July.

6. Pelicans Independence Day Celebration
Start your Fourth activities early and take in a Pelicans baseball game. Both nights include firework shows as well as events for the kids.

7. Fourth of July Fireworks at Barefoot Landing

8. Pawleys Island 50th Annual Parade
This fun community event is a parade featuring any makeshift float being a boat, car or flatbed truck. Join the Lowcountry folks as they parade down the Island.
