Get moving with the rescheduled 2021 Myrtle Beach Marathon

Originally slated for March, the 2021 Myrtle Beach Marathon will now take place on May 1. The 24th year of the event will offer a full marathon, half marathon and 5K in person. The races will begin on Robert Grissom Parkway, with the finish line in the parking lot of TicketReturn.com Field at the Pelicans Ballpark.

Precautions will be in place at this event so everyone can have a great race while feeling safe. All in-person runners will receive their bibs by mail prior to the event or, if registering after April 8, can pick up their bibs at Fleet Feet in Myrtle Beach. There will be a mandatory pre-race COVID questionnaire and hand sanitizer and hand washing stations throughout the event. There will be no more Health & Wellness Expo for packet pickup and, while gear check will not be hosted this year to avoid person-to-person contact, there will be plenty of parking close to the start line. Wave start times will be implemented to encourage social distancing throughout the course. If you are not quite ready to run in person, virtual options include a 10K and a family fun run.

With many choices for distance and in-person or virtual racing, this is the perfect chance to pick the option you are most comfortable with and get moving! Visit the website for a full schedule of events, registration info and additional safety measures.
