Myrtle Beach Hospitality Industry Award Winners Honored

On Friday the Myrtle Beach Area Hospitality Association hosted their 45th Annual Breakfast Meeting, where the 2019 Hospitality Industry Awards were presented. These awards recognize outstanding achievements by Grand Strand hospitality leaders and businesses. Congratulations to the below category winners!

 

-Heart of the House Employee of the Year—Patricia Gardner, Caribbean Resort & Villas

This award honors heart of the house employees who go above and beyond the normal job expectations both at and away from work.

 

-Front Line Employee of the Year—Tiffany Doolittle, Dagwood’s Deli & Bumstead’s Pub

This award honors front line employees who go above and beyond the normal job expectations both at and away from work. 

 

-Hospitality Services Member of the Year—Eric Hunt, Myrtle Beach Wedding Officiant

This award honors a MBAHA Hospitality Services member based on industry involvement beyond their normal exceptional service and quality and on their history of working to advance the hospitality industry along the Grand Strand.

 

-Hotelier of the YearErik Reis, Staybridge Suites

This award honors the hotel owner, manager or company that shows exemplary customer service, employee relations, community service and their dedication to advancing the lodging industry along the Grand Strand. 

 

-Chef of the Year—Danny Smith, Frank’s & Frank’s Outback

This award honors an outstanding culinarian who has demonstrated the highest standard of culinary skills and dedication to advancing the culinary industry along the Grand Strand.

 

-Restaurateur of the Year—Johnny Daskalis, Johnny D’s Waffles & Benedict

This award honors the restaurant owner, manager or company that shows exemplary customer service, employee relations, community service and their dedication to advancing the foodservice industry along the Grand Strand. 

 

Winners in applicable categories will be submitted as nominees for the Stars of the Industry Awards presented by the South Carolina Restaurant & Lodging Association and SCPRT’s Hospitality Employee of the Year.
