4 Myrtle Beach Area Christmas Events for Those Already in the Spirit

Already counting down the days to Christmas before we’ve made it to Thanksgiving? Here are a few festive November events to help you get your merry on

Tanger Outlets Highway 17

Santa is coming to town and he will be making a stop at Tanger Outlets on the north end. On November 16, Santa will arrive with the Horry County Fire Department and the Blues Brothers of Legends in concert at 5 p.m. at the north entrance of the shopping center (between Under Armour and Tory Burch).

There will also be lots of free and fun family-friendly entertainment, like face painting, strolling magic, games, music, sand arts and crafts and more in the Market Hall Courtyard from 5 to 7 p.m. Bring your camera or smart phone to get a shot with Santa. Broadway at the Beach

Broadway at the Beach will host its 25th annual Tree Lighting Celebration on November 22 (rescheuled from 11/16). The event will feature a variety of holiday-themed live performances, plus a fireworks extravaganza over Lake Broadway. The fun will take place in the Center Court area next to the Guest Services Center.

Ed Piotrowski will host and performers will include the Socastee High School Show Choir, the Myrtle Beach High School Seahawk Choir, Carolina Freestyle Cloggers, local vocalist Chandler McCune and Legends In Concert. There will also be a surprise visitor from the North Pole to help light the tree. The festivities will begin at 6 p.m. with fireworks at 8 p.m. Head to broadwayatthebeach.com for details.

Barefoot Landing

Enjoy the Lighting of the Landing on November 23. Barefoot Landing will welcome the holiday season with fun and fireworks as they light their beautiful tree. The day will kick off at 2 p.m. with activities like Holiday Mail for troops, face painting and more. The show and lighting will begin at 6 p.m. with lively entertainment.

Ed Piotrowski will host the lighting, with performances from the entertainers at the Alabama Theatre and other musical guests on the Crooked Hammock Brewery stage in Dockside Village (across from LuLu’s). The Market Common

The Market Common’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held on November 23 from 6–8 p.m. There will be complimentary carriage rides (6 to 9 p.m.), plus a trackless train for kids, a balloon artist, carnival games and a bounce house.

Head to the stage in front of the Grand 14 Theater for an array of holiday tunes from the Carolina Master Chorale. The Coastal Dance Center will feature scenes from The Nutcracker, followed by Santa.
