This year, the event moves to the old Myrtle Square Mall site, in order to accommodate more than 130 vendors and large turnout.
Bring along your appetite, and thirst for a cold beverage, as the annual Myrtle Beach Food Truck Festival is set for the first Friday-Sunday in April.
Presented once again by Wicked Weed Brewing and NS Promotions and Events, this is the largest food truck event in South Carolina, according to Henry Bresadola, with NS Promos. It all takes place at the large, convenient, Old Myrtle Square Mall site between Oak Street and Kings Highway, an area large enough to accommodate the 100 food vendors and 30 or so craft vendors plying their goods, not to mention the big turnout from both locals and visitors to the Grand Strand. Along with arts and crafts, and too much food to mention, vendors there will include pet businesses, insurance agents, boutique owners, artwork, restaurants, and more!
“The crowds last year were 10,000-15,000 each day with Saturday being the busiest day,” notes Bresadola. Live music is also a big draw, with bands performing this year including If Birds Could Fly, (Friday); Saluda Shoals, Reggie Sullivan Band, and Crashbox (Saturday); Paperwork, and Bullfrog (Sunday). Tickets are $10.
“It is a lot of fun; we have added about 25 more food vendors this year to try and keep the lines a bit more manageable at each food vendor,” he says. “We will have every type of food you can imagine, from cinnamon rolls to BBQ, homemade desserts to Korean corn dogs.”
