Kaity and Jacob grew up in Georgetown, where their families were friends. Appropriately, Jacob proposed at the fountain downtown after a dinner out. The couple loves their hometown so they decided tying the knot at the Winyah Indigo Society Hall would be perfect.

The July 29, 2017, ceremony was officiated by Dr. Ted Mears, Jacob’s grandfather and a Baptist minister, and included a shortened version of the Greek tradition of the exchange of the crowns. The day featured a Greek theme in a charming Southern building, with Santorini blue and gold and olive branches incorporated throughout the flowers by Carolina Charm. The impressive food spread by Carolina Catering of Georgetown was a must since the couple loves cooking and eating together.
