Get in the holiday spirit with Brookgreen Gardens’ Treasured Holiday Memories exhibits

Visitors to Brookgreen Gardens are welcome to enjoy the traditional holiday theme of the Treasured Holiday Memories exhibit in the Rosen Galleries this year. Through January 2, guests can gaze at the trains, trees, toys and other treasured memories of past holiday seasons.

This year, there are more trains than ever, along with Christmas trees, period-specific ornaments and vintage toys. The displays will take visitors on a journey from the Victorian era through to the 1980s, representing what defined a “classic Christmas” throughout history.

There is a mix of old favorites and exciting new additions to the train sets this year. Attendees can expect to see the popular Thomas and Friends, The Polar Express and Hogwarts displays, along with Plasticville U.S.A and Night at the Drive-In. For new views, department staff have designed and built displays inspired by Toy Story, Petticoat Junction, and Green Acres.

In addition to the train displays, miniature lighted villages display magical themes, such as Snow Village, to inspire the holiday spirit within guests.

During Nights of a Thousand Candles, visitors will be able to enjoy a G-scale train display in the Jewell Plaza. All of these exhibits will be included in the price of Brookgreen's Garden admission, so be sure to bundle up and allow yourself to experience the magic of these treasured holiday memories!
