Feeling Crabby?

Head to the World Famous Blue Crab Festival for food, crafts and more

During one weekend in May, the town of Little River opens up its arms to our little pincher friends during the World Famous Blue Crab Festival. This year the festival is celebrating its 35th birthday and will be held May 14–15 on the Little River waterfront.

More than 50,000 people are expected to attend the Blue Crab Festival, which is considered one of the largest festivals in the Southeast. With so much attention, we’re grateful to enjoy this event in our own backyard.

Along with fresh, local seafood, the festival will feature approximately 300 fine art and crafts vendors, specialty food vendors, entertainment and a play area for kids.

While the blue crab is the star of this show, live entertainment is also a big draw. Bands scheduled to perform are The Holiday Band and Gary Lowder & Smokin’ Hot on Saturday and The Embers and Jim Quick & Coastline on Sunday.

Festival hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $5.
