Brookgreen Gardens offers fun, educational at-home craft projects

If you’re looking for some fun projects at home to help keep the kids (or yourself) busy, check out Brookgreen at Home. Brookgreen Gardens’ Creative Education Department has you covered with some great ideas, from art creations to educational fun. The projects and programs help kids learn about interesting facts in nature and more.

Brookgreen at Home projects include What is the Difference Between Frogs and Toads? You will learn what makes these similar creatures different and then construct your own frog out of construction paper. You can Get Down to the Root and learn about root vegetables, then create your own paper plate veggie garden. Bring a little outdoor fun inside by creating your own nature collage using found objects from outside. Additional fun and informative projects include creating your own flower garden, facts about bee swarms, learning about Brookgreen’s pup Angus and Scottish Deerhounds, making a pinecone hedgehog and more!

Offerings range across age and skill levels, so there is something for everyone. After you finish your creation, be sure to post your projects on social media with the hashtag #BrookgreenAtHome so you can share and check out what others have been working on.
