NMB Summer Concert Series

Each year, the City’s Parks & Rec Department sponsors The Sounds of Summer outdoor concerts, which are free to the public and are held the third Friday of each month (June-September) at the NMB Park & Sports Complex. So bring your family and friends and listen to live music at the amphitheater. Each concert will feature a different band playing family-friendly music. Bring a beach chair or blanket. Food and drinks will be available for purchase, but tobacco products, coolers, outside food, and beverages are not allowed. This evening, groove to Tuesdays Gone: a Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute band. Varna International’s Muzika Returns

The 24th annual Varna International Music Academy is making its yearly sojourn through South Carolina in June, with multiple venues hosting Muzika, bringing the thrill of live music at its finest with a festival that combines the power of orchestral concerts, the energy of Broadway musicals, the drama of opera, and the beauty of choral music. 
Along the Grand Strand, Varna kicks off its Myrtle Beach visit on June 20th at Trinity Church with a presentation of Chanson du Soir, a French voice recital featuring selections from French composers such as Debussy, Fauré, & Saint-Saëns. Also, visit Ground Zero on June 21st as Varna celebrates A Grand Night for Singing. This event celebrates the most successful partnership in Broadway musical history—Richard Rodgers & Oscar Hammerstein—by featuring music from more than 30 of the duo’s top hits, including The King and I, Carousel, Oklahoma!, The Sound of Music, South Pacific, Cinderella, and more. Summer Solstice Run

NS Promos announces another fantastic race - the Awesome 80s Summer Solstice 2 Mile Beach Run, presented by Moe Moon’s. This unique race features the beauty of Myrtle Beach and takes advantage of the beginning of summer and the longest day of sunlight! Participants will start on the sand at Plyler Park and head north for one mile and then return for a total of two miles. Afterwards, stay at Plyer Park for live music, food, and fun! Race participants will receive a hotdog, chips, and soda/water compliments of Moe Moon’s. Also, each participant can enjoy a complimentary Skywheel ride that evening.
