North Myrtle Beach Cherry Grove Pier Fireworks

The City of North Myrtle Beach will light up the night sky at the Cherry Grove Pier with a free, 30-minute display of professional fireworks. Arrive early and bring your beach chairs and blankets for a spectacular sight! 

“The City of North Myrtle Beach is proud to continue the beloved tradition of our annual Fourth of July fireworks display at the Cherry Grove Pier. It’s a celebration that brings our community and visitors together to honor our nation’s independence with a spectacular show over the ocean—an unforgettable experience for all ages,” states Angel Sylvester, special events and program director for the City.

Red, White, and Blue Race/Walk

Head to Barefoot Landing for this event, celebrating its seventh year, and as always, benefiting The Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach. Runners and walkers are encouraged to participate, and there’s even a Stars & Stripes Kids’ Dash! Participants are encouraged to dress in red, white, and blue! Get the entire family involved and register for either the RWB Run or the free Stars and Stripes Kids' Dash (50 yards). Participants are encouraged to dress in their best July 4th garb to celebrate America’s Independence! “We hope to have a great group celebrating America’s Birthday at the Beach with us!” says Will White, race operations director for NS Promos. Animals are not permitted on the race course and will result in disqualification

Baby joggers, baby strollers, skate boards, roller blades, bicycles or any other wheeled device are not permitted on the race course and will result in disqualification. Also, be sure and grab some swag! There will be RWB run-participant shirts, finisher medals, race bibs for both the RWB and Kids’ 50-yard dash, and a finisher gift for the kids. Registration is available online only and will cease the day of the event at 6 a.m.

Hula and Fire Show

This family event takes place on the sand at Surfside Pier, and occurs on Monday evenings. Experience the vibrant cultures of the Polynesian Islands as you’re taken on a journey through Hawaii, New Zealand, Tahiti, and Samoa. Feel the rhythm of the hula, the excitement of the fire dancers, and the spirit of the islands. This year marks the 10-year anniversary of the passing of Chief Kamu, the visionary who started all of this over 20-years ago. We hope some of you remember him and have seen our show evolve from then to now, keeping his legacy alive with aloha, ohana, and mana. This is an hour-long, free family-friendly event, so bring the whole ohana and enjoy a night full of culture, dance, and a hang loose time.
