Commemorate Women’s Equality Day and celebrate Belle Baruch’s independence as a suffragist, a Junior League of Nations active leader and a World War II Coastal Observer. After some brief remarks at the Discovery Center, enjoy this walk on the beach and follow in the steps of Belle on the same spot she fearlessly patrolled for Nazi spies. Reservations are required for this three-mile hike.
Hobcaw Barony, 22 Hobcaw Road. Friday, 1:30–4 p.m. $25. (843) 546-4623, hobcawbarony.org
