Kirby Millwood is a partner at the WebsterRogers office in Pawleys Island – one of two locations currently along the Grand Strand.

The business world can be challenging to traverse, and Millwood offers sound advice to those starting out in their careers: “Be thoughtful and intentional of your short-term and long-term career goals,” she suggests. “Hard work is inevitable when you are starting out but make sure your efforts are helping you to achieve those goals. This will help you enjoy what you do and make the hard work worth it.
“I would also say to make sure to focus on good work-life integration, setting boundaries around enjoying personal time but also recognizing that work sometimes intercedes. Work hard when it’s necessary to do so but also allow yourself time to play hard as well.”
She enjoys working with clients and is inspired by helping them and others.
“I am most happy in my career when I know I am making a client’s life a little bit easier in some way and helping mentor staff in this profession. I love to be able to share my story and experiences so that I can help provide guidance or even motivation and encouragement to others. I’ve always felt that we never fully know the impact we have on others and should always be mindful of the tremendous importance of our daily interactions.”

“We actively support more than 50 local community, philanthropic, and industry-related organizations, and our team members sit on advisory boards and boards of directors for many.”
