Rachael Wollard is the owner and operator of Two Oaks Bridal Boutique in Myrtle Beach. Rachael had dreamed of owning her own bridal business since she was a teen, and during the COVID pandemic, she decided to pursue that long-held passion.
“During COVID a lot of things were put into perspective for me, and I chose to take a leap of faith to open my own bridal boutique,” she recalls. “I had dreamt of this boutique in my sketchpad as a teenager down to the very logo we use today!”
Two Oaks opened in February 2022, and she says she is grateful for the warm welcome from the community and the continued love and support she experiences daily.
Her full-service bridal salon offers bridal gowns to veils, from jewelry and accessories to shoes and gifts.
“Brides are going through the most exciting and anxiety-inducing time of their lives,” Rachael notes. “They need someone to care, even about the things they don’t know they should care about. We are a force—a guiding light—if you will, in helping these bride’s dreams become a reality. Our commitment to the one-on-one experience we create with each bride sets us apart from our competitors!”
Rachael and her team make sure the clients they help are well-versed in the classic look, as well as innovative designs.
“We educate our brides from new trends, to fabrics, to fit, even to the alteration process as this journey can be a long and detailed one, and as their vendor we are here to help. No matter how small or big a question is—the Two Oaks team is here for the bride throughout the whole process.”
She says the support and passion she sees in Two Oaks’ bridal designers is very inspiring, challenging her “to be my very best for my brides and their families.”
Two Oaks’ commitment to giving back to the Grand Strand community is another priority, Rachael says. “We love making gift baskets for our friends over at Kind Keeper Animal Rescue, which helps them in their fundraising efforts by raffling them at their events. We also sponsor the Forestbrook Middle School Cheer Team and look forward to supporting many other worthy causes in the coming years,” she explains.
For relaxation, she and her family enjoy being on the water, whether it’s the ocean, lake, or river. “There is a gentle calmness where the sky meets the water’s edge. I enjoy reading James Patterson books, with my favorite being Roses are Red. Shopping is always a relaxing and fun time.”
As for giving advice to other people starting their own business, Rachael says “Believe in yourself and the rest will follow…If you have a dream, follow it. You never know where it might lead you.”
