Women in Business - Pinnacle Real Estate Academy

Jennifer Nicely

Jennifer Nicely is the owner and CEO of Pinnacle Real Estate Academy in Myrtle Beach. While she is incredibly proud of the business she has built, she also deeply values her role as a mother, volunteer, speaker, author, TV host, organization president, and friend to so many. Her journey was not an easy one, however, having to navigate the crashed real estate market of 2007, divorce, and explant surgery that wreaked havoc on her health for several years. Always knowing that she has what it takes to open a thriving business, Jennifer transformed an $800 gift from her father into the multi-state real estate school that Pinnacle is today.

Having begun her real estate career in Charlotte, North Carolina, Jennifer always felt as though the process for getting a real estate license is daunting and quite difficult for many. In 2012, she had the idea to start a real estate school that not only helps prospective agents through every step of the licensing process, but provides an innovative and interactive approach to the course structure. Now, over a decade later, Pinnacle Real Estate Academy provides courses for a South Carolina Salesperson License, Property Management License, Broker License, and North Carolina Broker License with no signs of slowing down. Jennifer has high aspirations for Pinnacle, even announcing recently that she plans to begin offering courses in Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Virginia, and Kentucky in the coming years.

Jennifer is devoted to helping others outside of the classroom as well. She is an active volunteer with the Sea Haven Organization for homeless youth, volunteers for Special Needs Family Fun Day for people with disabilities, and heads up the School Supply Drive to supply over 300 children in need with all of their school supplies. Giving back to the community that has given so much to her is something that Jennifer cherishes and looks forward to continuing into the future.

One of Jennifer’s proudest moments of her career thus far has been establishing the first Women’s Council of Realtors in the state of South Carolina and continuing to advocate for—women in the industry. When asked what advice she has for women starting their own businessjourney, Jennifer said “Don’t think you have to be the expert or know everything before you take the leap of faith. Become an expert as you grow and take small steps.”

Pinnacle Real Estate Academy is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
