Dr. Jen Orthodontics is an orthodontic practice specializing in tooth alignment and malocclusion correction, otherwise known as, “creating smiles.” They opened in 2004 and have grown from a small rental office to a flourishing full-service practice in a custom office building.
“I am surrounded daily by amazing team members dedicated to making every day better than the last,” says Dr. Jen Butler. “Our mission is to create patient relationships that transcend the years, far after braces or trays are successfully completed.”
Dr. Jen received her undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina as a Cum Laude graduate. She then attended the School of Dentistry at the Medical University of South Carolina, graduating at the top of her class and earning the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity’s Award of Excellence in Academic Achievement. To complete her education, she obtained her Specialty Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry.
“We offer several forms of tooth-movement technologies to correct malalignment of teeth and create facial balance. The days of dreading braces are over. We use 3M brackets in silver and clear varieties,” Dr. Jen says. “Each can be decorated according to the patient’s preference or left nearly invisible with tooth-colored wires. Invisalign is also an excellent option. Using 3D printed trays, teeth can be moved into corrected positions. Invisalign is offered at multiple levels—some smaller systems are very affordable and perfect for simple cases where minor correction is desired.”
Dr. Jen is a member of several professional organizations–Grand Strand Dental Society, South Carolina Dental Association, American Dental Association, South Carolina Association of Orthodontists, and the American Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Jen proudly served as the Southern Association of Orthodontist Board AAO PAC director and led the PAC to record numbers protecting the profession she holds dear!
Dr. Jen and her husband, Chad, have two daughters, Cameron and Madilyn.
