Nicole Hall & Ryan Miller

The couple met in Charlotte at a mutual friend’s wine bar. Their paths continued to cross over the next few years and they ran into each other one night at that same wine bar. Nicole thought maybe she would give him a chance since she had recently lost her mother and felt she needed to be more open to possibilities. After a little over a year together, the pair, who are both architects, went to check out a new hotel outside Charleston. They got up early one morning to ride bikes over to breakfast, and when they stopped at a bench overlooking the Ashley River, Ryan proposed. The ceremony was held at Litchfield Plantation. Nicole used lace from her mom’s wedding gown as the sash for her dress. The theme for the day was relaxed while also being elegant. The flowers were simple with lots of greenery, including eucalyptus. Nicole’s mother’s engagement photo was displayed beside her own on the guestbook table. Ryan is a big bourbon fan, so guests got to enjoy a bourbon bar. The pair’s dogs donned a bowtie and flower wreath for their part in the wedding. Nicole and Ryan recently purchased a house in Monroe, North Carolina.
