Meredith and Chuck started up a great friendship after meeting through mutual friends in Murrells Inlet. He finally got up the nerve to ask her out, and they went for a romantic boat ride to Georgetown for dinner at the River Room. They both feel at home on a boat, so it was only fitting that he would pop the question during an afternoon sunset cruise one Monday in October. The wedding was held at The Caribbean Resort in Islamorada, Florida. The outdoor ceremony and reception had 110 in attendance. The couple loved having a destination wedding because they were able to spend time with family and friends for multiple days, making the actual wedding day more relaxed. Chuck and his father, who passed away on New Year’s Eve 2017, were very close. They honored him with a special recessional song, his favorite, “Seven Bridges Road” by The Eagles. The island feel flowed into the reception, with mahi tacos for dinner and Key lime desserts. So many friends and family all become one—it was a dream made into a reality for the couple. Meredith and Chuck reside in the heart of Murrells Inlet.
