Jacquelynne and Chad met in high school in the late ’80s, rekindling their relationship about seven years ago. As a Councilwomen for the City of Myrtle Beach, Jacquelynne was in Hilton Head to attend a meeting. During their stay, Chad arranged for a private boat to take them to Daufuskie Island. They spent the afternoon exploring and stopped at a peninsula overlooking the bay. She turned around to find him down on one knee surrounded by rose petals. The ceremony was held at Pine Lakes Country Club. The bride wore a strapless mermaid gown with a mink stole wrap passed down from her mother. The theme was Southern elegance and utilized burgundy, navy and gold. The three-tiered wedding cake featured custom flavors. The best part was having their daughters, Amelia Hatley and Athena Vereen, with them to share their special day.
