Christina Péter & Jason Devlin

Christina and Jason reconnected through Facebook after working together for a short time years prior. They had their first date in September 2013 and the rest is history. Jason planned a trip to New York City for Christina’s December birthday and proposed on Top of the Rock at the Rockefeller Center. The ceremony was held indoors at the Dunes Golf & Beach Club and referring to the weather as “April Showers” is an understatement. The day before what was planned to be an outdoor wedding became rainy, windy and cold. This change in plans ended up being a blessing in disguise, making the pair’s big day more intimate and cozy as Christina’s brother walked her down the aisle to marry her best friend. The weather also made for some beautiful photographs in the rain post-ceremony. The colors for the day were ivory, gold and blush with beautiful centerpieces of short or submerged flowers on each table. The reception was a gathering of 80 of the couple’s closest friends and family members and was filled with love, joy and lots of dancing. There was a memory table to honor those who could not be there close to the sweetheart table so that the couple could celebrate with them in spirit. Other highlights were a friend doing the worm across the dance floor, the bride throwing her bouquet into the chandelier during the bouquet toss, and the groom’s sister falling on the dance floor and breaking her wrist (but still dancing until the end of the night). The wonderful day was a dream come true for the couple, who live in Myrtle Beach.
