Cameron and Roger met through their social circle. After five years together, the couple was vacationing in Delray Beach, Florida, and teased family and friends with a faux proposal on April Fool’s Day. Two years later, in the same spot and on the same day, Roger surprised Cameron with a real proposal. The intimate wedding was held at Brookgreen Gardens. Decor was kept minimal to help showcase the natural beauty. The color scheme was navy, burgundy and gold accented with air plants atop gold deco stands and hurricane votives. The navy blue wedding cake adorned with white edible flowers with gold leaves and berries was a highlight. A special table featured photos of the bride’s mother, who passed from breast cancer, and the groom’s bonus-mother, who passed from Alzheimer’s. In lieu of traditional gifts, the pair asked guests to donate in their memory. Cameron and Roger live in North Myrtle Beach.
