April Lindsey & Zach Parker

April and Zach met at Myrtle Beach’s Medieval Time’s Dinner and Tournament through a mutual acquaintance. Ever since, Zach has been April’ s knight in shining armor!

Zach and April were complete opposites, but they balanced each other out perfectly. They found a love for experiencing new things together. From theme parks to hiking to finding the best cuisine. Now, they have become adventure partners for life.

Christmas has always been April’s favorite holiday, so Zach planned a surprise proposal for that night in front of her family. The ring was wrapped inside a jewelry box that resembled April’s favorite movie, Beauty and the Beast. The ring is an heirloom from Zach’s family—it was his mother’s. As fate would have it, it was the last present opened Christmas night 2020. Zach was nervous, but the proposal went off without a hitch. The answer was one of the easiest April has ever given=!

The wedding was held at Pawleya Plantation. It was Disney-themed, the way April had imagined it since she was a young girl. The couple had their church’s pastor open the ceremony and the bride’s father officiate. The couple completed a unity cross ceremony, committing to keep Christ in their marriage. What made it special for Zach and April was the presence and support of their family and friends, along with making the commitment to love and cherish the love of their lives.

The reception was also held at Pawleys Plantation, with the meal was introduced to the crowd to the song “Be Our Guest” from Beauty and The Beast. When it was time for the father-and-daughter dance, April surprised her father, Glen Lindsey, by singing “Daddy Dance With Me” by Krystal Keith. If that didn’t move the crowd, emotions were stirred when she serenaded Zach with the song “When I Found You” by Jasmine Ray. Zach also orchestrated a moment to honor Zach’s late brother, Clay Parker, with his favorite song “Don’t You Forget About Me” by Simple Minds.

While it was an exciting and lively celebration, both families made the effort to keep the focus on what mattered most: the unity of the couple and the challenges that made them who they are.
Annie Graham was the caterer/planner and Happily Ever After Entertainment provided the DJ services.

The couple now happily resides in Conway, South Carolina, where April works as a Special Education teacher and Zach is a business entrepreneur.
