The pair met at a housewarming party thrown by a college friend of Amanda’s. Shep was a friend of her college roommate’s boyfriend who had come along. He sat down next to Amanda by the fire pit and they have been together ever since. After five years of dating, Shep told Amanda they would be taking a surprise trip. They flew to Vancouver and then on to a small island called Tofino. The island was deserted since it was the tail end of tourist season. They walked on the beach, explored, and relaxed in front of the fireplace. On New Year’s Day they went for a walk on the beach, where Shep got down on one knee and told her he wanted her to be his partner in crime for life. The pair was married at Litchfield Plantation. The wedding was fall themed and centered around seasonal colors. Table linens were in purples, oranges and greens and farm tables were decorated with greens and flowers. The Polaroid guest book turned out to be a wonderful keepsake. The couple lives in Los Angeles.
