Alycia and Josh met at work; both are employed by International Paper. Alycia took the lead and asked Josh for his phone number, with their first date taking place at a party.

After dating for a few years, Josh, on bended knee, asked Alycia to marry him at her 28th birthday celebration, held at her parents’ beach vacation spot in the Outer Banks. A few weeks after he proposed, Alycia counter-proposed at their favorite restaurant, offering Josh a ring of his own!

The wedding ceremony was held at Village House at Litchfield, with Alycia’s brother as officiant and both her parents walking her down the aisle. Furry family members, the couple’s canines Addie and Tango, also were part of the ceremony!

The theme for the wedding was the outdoors — Josh loves hunting and Alycia enjoys hiking — so they adopted a forest motif.

The bride’s wedding gown, an Eddy K design, was from The Dressing Room in Pawleys Island and was made of lace, with a gorgeous train and an illusion back and neckline. The bridal party wore Juniper Satin attire from David’s Bridal, and the groom and groomsmen used studiosuits.com to get custom-tailored, Peaky Blinders-style suits.

Bovines and Wahoos, through the Village House, provided Mac and Cheese balls, Tuna Tartare Nachos and Southwestern Egg Roll Bites for cocktail hour and had three dinner stations—Hot Dip, Taco and BBQ.

Sharon Keller provided the three-layer cake (chocolate, vanilla pound and maple pecan).

Paula Player was the photographer and friend Daniel Baker lent his Corvette convertible for the bride and groom’s exit!

Alycia and Josh now reside at their home in Murrells Inlet.
