Varna International’s Muzika Returns

Varna International’s Muzika Returns

The 24th annual Varna International Music Academy is making its yearly sojourn through South Carolina in June, with multiple venues hosting Muzika, bringing the thrill of live music at its finest with a festival that combines the power of orchestral concerts, the energy of Broadway musicals, the drama of opera, and the beauty of choral music.
Along the Grand Strand, Varna kicks off its Myrtle Beach visit on June 20th at Trinity Church with a presentation of Chanson du Soir, a French voice recital featuring selections from French composers such as Debussy, Fauré, & Saint-Saëns. Also, visit Ground Zero on June 21st as Varna celebrates A Grand Night for Singing. This event celebrates the most successful partnership in Broadway musical history—Richard Rodgers & Oscar Hammerstein—by featuring music from more than 30 of the duo’s top hits, including The King and I, Carousel, Oklahoma!, The Sound of Music, South Pacific, Cinderella, and more. Enjoy Muzika’s live jazz orchestra along with notable soloists during this performance. There are many more concerts by Varna International in Columbia, Lexington, and Greenville, to name a few.
