Aiden Keahi Mendoza was a member of Socastee High School’s class of 2017 and the captain of the cross-country and track and field teams. He had a burning passion for athletics. Mendoza tragically lost his life in a surfing accident in December 2016. This race is a memorial and celebration of his life, with funds going toward a scholarship opportunity in his name.
