This inaugural event is hosted by the Sons of the American Legion Post 178 in Murrells Inlet, with proceeds benefiting The Veterans Welcome Home and Resource Center In Little River and Blue Star Mothers. The Center assists local honorably discharged veterans with job placement, filing claims with the Veterans Administration, helping those veterans who find themselves in deep financial difficulty, and to temporarily shelter those veterans who are homeless. Strollers, runners, and walkers are all welcome! No dogs are allowed on the race course and post-race snacks and water will be available for participants.
