Inspired by the Gee’s Bend quilts and their creators, Cozbi Cabrera, a New York-based artist, painted more than 20 illustrations to accompany the upcoming book, Stitchin’ and Pullin’, by Patricia McKissack. These works are colorful and heartwarming and will be exhibited alongside a variety of Cabrera’s famous handmade dolls and quilts.
