It’s 1933 and a hodgepodge of hopefuls has amassed at Atlantic City’s Steel Pier dance hall to vie for a cash prize and a shot at fame. Aging celebrity Rita Racine has come for her last dance marathon. When her partner is a no-show, she must pair with first-time marathoner Bill Kelly. The rest of the cast includes a variety of vivid contestants, from a former Olympic athlete to a hopeful newlywed couple from Utah.
