Authentic, tasty, German-Austrian dishes in the heart of Myrtle Beach are served at Café Old Vienna, which moved from its original location many years ago, but has been a staple of the Grand Strand food scene for more than two decades. A variety of Austrian and German beers on draft, along with traditional German “soul food,” includes Veal Wiener Schnitzel, Sauerbraten, and their tasty Pierogis. “Feasts” include shareable meals with many menu favorites.

Newly opened in 2020, not the greatest of times to open a restaurant, Cypress Grille, in the growing sector of northeast Carolina Forest, has amassed a following of devotees who are happy to visit from all over the Grand Strand just for a taste of the chef-designed menu. For lunch try a Burgundy burger with cremini mushrooms, black garlic aioli and Gruyere cheese. The mostly small plate menu items reflect an American fusion of flavors with bold, creative twists. Fresh seafood, local shrimp, crab cakes, short ribs, tenderloin tips and more. With outdoor seating amidst gas lanterns, and a cozy interior, Cypress Grille welcomes all, rain or shine.
