Sherry Strickland Martin, a professional artist and educator, works in watercolor, a medium that continues to present her with ever-changing technical challenges. Martin also employs mixed media, which she deems her alter ego. Roots Run Deep features both techniques and speaks to the Horry County native’s return to painting what nurtures her soul: South Carolina’s beautiful coast. An opening reception will be held on Tuesday, October 11, from 5:30–7:30 p.m.
