This Brookgreen Gardens program, led by Ranger Mike Walker, will explore the fascinating life cycle of South Carolina’s state reptile, the loggerhead sea turtle. Learn why they dig the dark, what they like to eat and why they are a threatened species. Other local turtles—like leatherbacks, Kemp’s ridleys and greens—will also be discussed. The program is free with garden admission, but limited to 24 people, so be sure to reserve your spot. Brookgreen Gardens, 1931 Brookgreen Drive. Wednesday, 10–11 a.m. Free with garden admission.
