Brookgreen Gardens invites everyone to come celebrate the annual Read Across America Day event at the Enchanted Storybook Forest, on Saturday from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. This is a day at the Gardens in which nature and literacy are intertwined in a safe, fun  environment that promotes and fosters learning and creativity.  The national Read Across America day was established by the National Education Association (NEA) in 1998 to help get kids excited about reading, with the goal of “Creating and Celebrating a Nation of  Diverse Readers.” At Brookgreen, children’s stories will come alive through exciting make-and-take crafts, intriguing S.T.E.M. challenges, live animal interactions, and exciting games. Come dress up as your favorite book character and join us for a fun-filled day! This is free with Garden admission.
