This talk will explore the ethics of punishment from a political economy perspective. Dr. Manos will discuss what we can learn about the function of punishment in society by examining things like the role of rising interest rates, the municipal bond system, the distribution of wealth and more. He will focus on what such an analysis tells us about the purpose and point of punishment and our ethical relationships.
