Varna International Music Academy will once again bring its staged and costumed operas to the Grand Strand. Performance locations are still being considered.

An important part of VIMA’s education mandate means students and young professional musicians just starting their careers often find their first opportunities performing in VIMA productions around South Carolina, and around the globe.
Local kids are given the chance to perform in professional operas, giving them a chance to enjoy the limelight at an early age. Riverside Elementary School music teacher Sara Morey will lead her kids this summer in their performance during the opera Street Scene.
Professionally staged and costumed operas first came to Myrtle Beach last year. VIMA will again bring opera to Myrtle Beach this summer. Long Bay Symphony conductor Dr. Charles Evans will lead his orchestra in the VIMA production of "The Marriage of Figaro."
