The annual Books & Boogie was held at Dead Dog Saloon on January 22, 2018, and featured music, books and food. There were signings by local authors, live entertainment, a buffet dinner and a raffle. Proceeds from the event benefitted the Freedom Readers, who help improve reading skills in low-income communities.
