The first North Carolina Oyster Festival was held in 1980 and the event has continued to grow and gain popularity over the years. The weekend is full of lots of fun—music, unique shopping, artwork and crafts and more. The highlight? The delicious culinary delight of oysters prepared in a variety of ways (plus many other food options if these yummy bivalves aren’t your thing.)
