Women’s Leadership Conference returns to Myrtle Beach February 10–11
Women will unite for the sixth year at the two-day Women’s Leadership Conference and Celebration of Inspiring Women, held February 10–11 at the Sheraton Myrtle Beach Convention Center. With the “I am woman, hear me roar” mentality, successful women take the stage to inspire the Myrtle Beach community. Presented by Coastal Carolina University’s Women in Philanthropy and Leadership, the conference “seeks to educate, motivate and challenge women to lead change in their lives, their communities and their world.”
Speakers include Sarah Thomas, the first woman hired as a full-time official in the National Football League; Teyonah Parris, the television, film and Broadway star best known for her role as Dawn Chambers on AMC’s Mad Men; Polly Letofsky, an inspirational author who recaps her 14,000-mile walk across four continents and 22 countries. Other speakers include Alice Domar, Sandra DuBose and Jessica Odede.
The event concludes Thursday night with the Celebration of Inspiring Women. For a list of the honorees, go to www.wiplconference.com.
