Symphonic music has been influenced by a wide range of cultures, from dances by Czech composer Antonin Dvorak and Spaniard Manuel de Falla to Mozart’s Turkish military percussion. These and other works (like Strauss’ take on popular waltz and Copland’s jazz-influenced Clarinet Concerto) will be explored, featuring Narek Arutyinian on clarinet. Myrtle Beach High School Music & Arts Center, 3302 Grissom Parkway. Sunday, 4 p.m. $10–$50. (843) 448-8379, www.longbaysymphony.com
