This Stuart Ross off-Broadway musical revue focuses on the close-harmony “guy groups” who reached the height of popularity in the 1950s. The Plaids are a quartet of high school friends whose dream to record an album is shattered when they are killed in a car crash on the way to see The Beatles’ American debut on The Ed Sullivan Show. The play beings with the Plaids returning from the afterlife to try for musical glory.
