Surfside Beach Surfer Guy Daniels was a Surfside Beach native who tragically passed away from an undiagnosed heart condition while jogging in 1999. Guy’s spirit as a positive role model and mentor lives on through the Guy Daniels Memorial SurfOff, an event which raises money to provide scholarships for area students.
