The Langston Hughes Project is a multimedia performance of the poet’s jazz poem suite, “Ask Your Mama: 12 Moods for Jazz.” An homage in music and verse to the struggle for freedom, both artistic and social, in the 1960s, the performance features different genres like blues, West Indian calypso and Dixieland.
