The Beach Ball Classic has always featured some of the most talented high school basketball players. Just look at the names of some who have played here—Kobe Bryant, Jason Kidd, Ramon Sessions and Raymond Felton. “We are the nation’s premier holiday basketball tournament for a reason,” says executive director and Myrtle Beach Mayor John Rhodes.
You can get a glimpse of the next superstars in college and professional basketball when the Beach Ball Classic returns to the Myrtle Beach Convention Center December 26-31. Sixteen teams from all over the country will compete, including our very own Socastee and Myrtle Beach high schools.
Tickets are $12 per day for general admission and $15 for reserved seats. A $75 pass is available that includes all games.
New this year is the Full Court Pass for seniors ages 65 and older. It costs $25 and includes all Beach Ball Classic games. Full Court Pass tickets are limited and only available through December 5.
Prior to the Beach Ball Classic, sixteen high school girls teams will take the court during the CresCom Bank Holiday Invitational, with Myrtle Beach High School representing the Grand Strand. It takes place December 17–22, also at the convention center. And on December 18 and December 21, the Carolina Women’s College Challenge features the University of North Carolina and Coastal Carolina University.
