Each fall, the Pawleys Island Festival of Music and Art graces the Grand Strand with an outpouring of exciting cultural events in the realms of visual art, music, food and more. With a mission of creating and enhancing cultural awareness and enriching the quality of life for residents and visitors by providing quality performances, programs and educational opportunities, the Pawleys Island Festival of Music and Arts never fails to live up to its goals.
Now in its 22nd year, the festival spans several weeks. This year’s performing arts lineup includes The Manhattan Transfer, The Rodney Mack Philadelphia Big Brass “Brother on the Battlefield,” the North Carolina Youth Tap Ensemble, the Annie Moses Band and many more.
The festival also includes the Pawleys Island Wine & Food Gala fundraiser (pictured above) on October 2. Held at the Reserve Golf Club, this gala offers nearly 70 wines from renowned vineyards the world over, as well as delightful hors d’oeuvres prepared by the area’s best chefs. This year a craft beer tasting has also been added.
